The Founding Edition
Is AVALI available now?
AVALI is currently available through pre-sale. The products shown are pre-production and final manufacturing refinements are being completed before fulfillment. Pre-sale owners receive milestone updates throughout production.
What does the Founding Edition include?
Two pieces, both in deep matte black with champagne gold hardware: the AVALI Checked Luggage, 31 × 21 × 10 in, and the AVALI Carry On, 21.5 × 14 × 9 in. Each is limited to two hundred and fifty individually numbered pieces. The XL Trunk follows later.
When does it ship?
Estimated delivery is Q1 2027. This is a pre-order for a product in active development. If the date moves materially you may take a full refund at any point before shipment.
Is there a balance due later?
No. You are charged the Founding Edition price today and nothing at shipment: $399 for the Checked and $199 for the Carry On. The regular prices at launch will be $499 and $299.
How does the refund window work?
A full refund is available within thirty days of your reservation for any reason at all. Beyond thirty days, a full refund remains available at any time before your piece ships.
The weight display
How does the weighing actually work?
AVALI incorporates patent-pending integrated weight technology designed to show luggage weight while packing. The piece lies flat and rests on load cells in its stand feet, which feed the exterior display. The system is undergoing final engineering validation before production.
Do I need an app?
No. No app, no pairing, no account. The display reads kilograms or pounds on the shell itself.
What happens if the battery dies?
The latches, wheels, handle and TSA access remain fully mechanical. Only the display and the fingerprint reader require power.
Travel & compliance
Does it work with TSA screening?
The latches use TSA-compatible hardware. They open by fingerprint or passcode for you, and by TSA master key for security screening.
Do I get an owner’s override key?
No. No owner key is supplied. The override key exists for customs and security officers only. You open the piece by fingerprint or passcode.
Is the battery removable?
Yes. The current product architecture uses removable power and USB-C connectivity. Airline battery rules vary, so travelers should verify requirements with their carrier.
Is the Carry-On accepted by every airline?
The Carry-On is designed around common U.S. domestic carry-on dimensions at 21.5 × 14 × 9 in. Airline rules vary, so travelers should verify requirements with their carrier.
Does it have tracking?
A discreet built-in pocket is designed for an Apple AirTag or compatible tracker. The tracker itself is not included.
The piece
What is the luggage made from?
A premium polycarbonate shell with an aluminum frame and metal hardware, finished in matte black with satin champagne-gold details.
What wheels does it use?
Premium Hinomoto multi-directional spinner wheels.
Are the specifications final?
Not yet. Final specifications, finishes, weight, component details and packaging may be refined before production. Any material change will be communicated directly to pre-sale owners.
